I'm Caroline.
A Visual Communicator who loves bringing ideas to life through creative and engaging visuals. I'm an Academic Specialist (Research Translation) at the University of Melbourne, managing communication and research translation for The ALIVE National Centre for Mental Health Research Translation.
I'm also a member of the Invest in Young Entrepreneurs (IYE) Pre-Accelerator Program, where I'm equipped as a young business leader developing KOKO the Talking Koala, a co-designed speech learning app for children with speech difficulties. Beyond my academic role, you’ll find me taking live visual notes at talks and events. As an Associate Graphic Recorder, I capture the essence of events in real-time, turning spoken words into engaging visual narratives that enhance audience experience and retention.

With over 10 years of experience in Communication Design, including a PhD in Design and a Master of Design (Communication) from Swinburne University, I also lectured in design portfolio and participatory design at Deakin University and Swinburne University. Whether it’s collaborating on research translation or sketching out ideas at live events, I'm all about fostering connection and creativity through visuals.
Outside of work, I'm a passionate home cook who enjoys traveling and volunteering at my local church. I'm highly competitive in party games and love spending quality time with my family and friends.
